Rosies

Some new rosies because they make me happy. :) I've learned in life that it really is the little and inexpensive things that can perk up your whole room and add so much ~ fresh flowers, a new vintage table runner... even cleaning can make you take a look and love what you've got. It really works! Speaking of little changes, I have been measuring my windows and have finally made the decision on going with curtains for the whole house. I am going with Country Curtains. I have loved the style in their catalog for so long and the prices really are reasonable. Right now, we have all white blinds in the house that came with it when we bought it 5 years ago, but I have been wanting a more calming look that I can achieve with the soft look of curtains. This window {below} in my kitchen will be getting white cafe curtains with a valance to let in that soft and beautiful morning sunlight that streams in these windows, as well as my other 4 kitchen windows. I'll be starting with my kitchen and then our master bedroom installations first.

We are getting hit with a big snow here in the Midwest. It hasn't stopped snowing since last night and is supposed to continue into Wednesday I believe. We are expected to possible get 10 inches of snow. My goodness! I am thinking where are you spring? But, I keep telling myself this will be good for the grass and bulbs when it melts. My kids have a snow day home from school today and they are playing pretty good with each other right now... that is not all the time, so I am enjoying the peace right now. ;)

Here is a photo I took of my back patio this morning, we have a lot of prairie land in the back, where at one time stood a big farm. I have to admit, it does look pretty outside.
