"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." ~ Pablo Picasso
Hello there! These pink tulips caught my eyes while grocery shopping on Sunday. There is just something about a little fresh color in the middle of winter that is so good for the soul. And there is just something about combining the delicate and lively {flowers} with the very old and tattered {some vintage books} - I just love that! I've been hibernating indoors... watching Downton Abbey, Upstairs Downstairs, checking my mailbox for gardening catalogs, snuggling the kids and the cat... dreaming about Spring days to come. And still trying to get over this nasty flu virus ~ seems like the tail end is lingering. Have a joyous week, everyone!
A photo of the in bloom red bud trees in my area that I took last spring... sigh...

I love your pictures...They have a very personal note! And I really like the combination of tulips and these old books!

ReplyDeleteI think these are your most beautiful photos yet....but don't I say that every post. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon. It is a nasty bug that likes to linger. I'm sure fresh flowers helped!
Spring will be here soon ~ xo

Oh, I could use a pop of pink on this dark and dreary day here! Your pink tulips are scrumptious and so beautifully photographed. Spring can't come soon enough!

Gorgeous ! Marvelous photos of the tulips.
ReplyDeleteLara, I so enjoy your blog. It is beautiful and breathtaking! I am hoping you can tell me the paint color in the background of your July 1' 2011 post. I LOVE the softness and warmth in the color... Can you please help. I have made many bad paint choices in the past . Have a blessed day! My email is kimberlydow@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteKimberly,
DeleteUnfortunatly the formers owners of our house did not leave the paint formula. It is a pale sandy cream color. You can't go wrong with pale neutral walls. :)
Absolutely exquisite!
