At the Pumpkin Farm

I love going to the pumpkin farm this time of year. The sights, the smells, the fun activities for children, and the food!! :)

We went to Kuiper's Family Farm in Maple Park. The property has a pumpkin farm on one side of the road, and a giant tree farm, apple orchard, and bakery on the other side. I walk in to the smell of all the wonderful scents being freshly baked on premise: pies, apple cider doughnuts, cider, local honey, caramel-dipped apples, and freshly mixed fudge varieties.

I snuck away from the family for awhile to run across the street to the bakery barn!

I waited in a very long line at the donut and pie counter and ask for half a dozen. A maple-glazed one instantly goes in my mouth - moist from the apple cider & full of sweetness. I want to try every flavour. So yummy. I took them outside for a quick photograph before I presented them to my family and told them they must try them.

I continued to wander around, noticing all that is charming and enjoying the picturesque views of the rolling fields of Christmas trees. So much beauty to take in.

I can't wait to return! I think apple cider donuts are now fully established as a fall tradition for our family. ;)

  7. Oh mercy, those donuts look good! An apple cider one, sounds delish. I just made white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and I must say, they're quite yummy. Your photos are so pretty, Lara. You've really captured the feeling of Autumn. Love the light. By the way, do you have a filter on your lens? I never like my outdoor photos and I'm thinking I need a filter. Hope you have a great weekend :)
