My family went to the Morton Arboretum over the beautiful weekend to take in the essence of fall. We ended up spenging the entire day there.
I loved just wandering around and taking pictures of scenery that caught my eye. I was in total shutterbug mode. I brought along my tripod with hopes of getting some great sharp pics, but after the first couple photos I took, the tripod went back in the car.
There was a weekend fall fest going on at the visitor center. Every corner was decked out with gorgeous flowers and fall decorating. I got very inspired by all the kale and cabbages worked into the flower gardens and containers. We bought a ton of spring bulbs because they were having a bulb sale. I've got some gardening work cut out for me this week... I love that.

This area with all the hydrangeas is called the enchanted garden...

There was a pumpkin painting area in the children's garden and my children were able to get a little artsy.

It was a great time. I can't wait to get back there for some winter photography! Yes, that's right. Thank you very much for looking at my autumn photos. I'm working on fall-izing my front porch. I'll be back with photos of that hopefully by the end of the week.
