I splurged on some lovely pink peonies from Whole Foods Market, and I wanted to capture them on photo before they start the fading process.
I also want to share some photos of my vintage ladder I recently found at an antique store. I think it's pretty cool decor accessory. I love the weathered, grey wood and all the existing paint splotches.
I also like the original lettering on the sides.
To jazz it up a bit, I added a sprig from my lavender plants.
Things are really getting into full swing with blooming around here.
My dwarf lilac bush is in bloom today!
We've had sun, rain, sun, rain - perfect for growing.
I have a date today with a living room floor covered in toys.
I'll be back later in the week.

Only wonderful.. I love Peonies sooooo much..

Beautiful, Lara! I transplanted some peonies from my old house several years ago and had just about given up on them...guess what? This year they are full of buds and I am waiting for them to bloom. They are one of my favorites...remind me of blousy-overdressed ladies! Hugs-Diana

Lovely as always. Our peonies just bloomed.
ReplyDeleteCould you plant peonies? Seems to me that the climate should work because you have the necessary "cold" period. ;-) I'm waiting for my peonies to bloom; if it continues raining, they won't do very well because those big blooms just soak up the water. Your photos are so wonderful....I envy you the natural light and the pale colors of your house!
ReplyDeleteLove your ladder Lara!!
ReplyDeleteYou have AMAZING flowers!! And love all the white in your house too - so simple and classic. Beautiful!
