I was inspired by my 1800's French book - La Vie En Fleur, which translates to life in bloom in English. It is so cold and grey here and snowing right now. I just have to get through the next few weeks and I can start sowing seeds. In the winter time I get an intense craving for market flowers to brighten up the house. I stretch them to their limit. These are the ones I purchased last week for the mantel. I thought I'd share some photos of a quick vignette I did with some vintage books, flowers and a new vase I got over the weekend - a mix of new and old.

So lovely. Thanks for the little refreshing break

ReplyDeleteLara, what beautiful images. I think everyone is sort of hoping for an early Spring, I'm seeing pinks, mums all over. Inspiring as always my dear, hope you're keeping warm, I gave into this aweful flu and called in. xoxo tami
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so, so pretty Lara!!! I don't know what camera you are using now, but your pictures sure are lovely!!! I was lucky enough to buy Traci's Canon 50D used last year and then I just upgraded my lens a few months ago to a 24 - 70 f/2.8 {to answer your ques. :)}.

Lara...just to let you know...my hubby is a carpenter(really a construction superintendent)and he said the table is made out of material that doesn't scratch easily. That is one of the things he liked so much about it. So you really do not need the glass.
ReplyDeleteAbout the mirror above the sofa...I know that wall is BIG and I thought the mirror's reflection would give it some depth rather than just look flat. Also I just see something BIG above your sofa rather than the smaller shelves...but you need to do what feels comfortable to you. I love how you decorate. And I've always liked the color of your sofa. the new line of slipcovered sofas at Ikea are nice. Would their slipcovers possibly fit on your sofa?
Lovely, Lara. You are doing a wonderful job with your photos! hugs-Diana
