We spent the afternoon at what I call relaxing pond out here in our wonderful country town. That's my husband under the tree in the above photo. It was so peaceful and beautiful here today. Gentle breezes in the air. Every kind of blooming tree is now alive in pretty pastel hues.
One of my favorites is the red bud - a splash of pink against the backdrop of greenery.
We grabbed a blanket out of the trunk and layed down to rest with our books and magazines. There was nothing but pure, simple serenity and some folks fishing, a dog catching a ball in the water and some teenagers throwing a football. This pond is in such a hidden treasure of a location. I even got 15 winks and felt so relaxed.. kind of like I've just had a full body massage. Relaxation.
The little wild flowers under our shade tree - they smelled very herbal & minty.
I just love spring!
